Food | Nutella Flower Braid Bread

Image
Over my spring break, my younger sister and I decided to try and bake this Nutella flower braid bread that has been streaming on the internet. It was a little sloppy, but it still looks so pretty! This braid bread is the perfect amount of bread and chocolate, not overpoweringly sweet nor bread-y. It wasn't too difficult to make. The hardest part was probably making the dough, so we gave up and just got pizza crust mix. So then we mostly followed this youtube video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxaDxiqTiT0 . It was a lot of fun to make and I would recommend trying this!  Ingredients:  3 boxes of pizza crust mix  1 cup of water  Nutella! Egg whites

OOTD | Simple, Timeless Cold Winter Outfit

Image
So, right now where I live it's 4°, sunny, with a wind of 12, mph. With wind chill it comes to about -10°. Not to bad for the weather for here. I think the sun just makes it better. Our blood has gotten thicker though and 20° is probably light sweater weather now. 30° t-shirt weather, but thats just how we do it in the midwest. This outfit is warm enough for today. Layers really are your best friend during the winter time. I'm wearing a simple outfit: Long mid-length black wool coat Brown infinity scarf Light jean jacket with a white tank top Tan jeans Black high top Converse All-Star It's simple and never goes out if trend. Keep warm! (Yes, I'm in the girl's restroom. They had a nice full length mirror so I got the idea of doing an ootd, took advantage of the situation and took some snaps. ) Posted via Blogaway

Small Extra Money | Lucktastic Smartphone App

Image
Over this last summer, I decided that I would stay home over summer break instead of working some odd job. I decided to look into ways you could make money at home. Along the way I found this app, Lucktastic. I thought it might be a scam, but it wouldn't have hurt to try. Right? Right. It's an app where you get daily scratch cards and you could win by matching 3 scratch offs and they make money from having you watch advertisements. You then could win a cash prize or app tokens off the scratch cards. I have yet to win any real cash from the scratch offs or any of the Lucktastic drawings, but I have been able to get a few instant rewards. With the tokens you collect, you can trade it in for instant rewards, entering in contests, or playing scratch cards for even more tokens. I would say the instant rewards are the most worth it. It's pretty simple and doesn't take too much effort at all. In just one month, I was able to get enough tokens for the first prize, ...

Revita Locks Review | Part 1

Image
Is Revita Locks a scam? Money-wise, I would say yes it is. It says it is a free-trial with only having to pay the shipping fee for a "free" 30 day supply sample. But really, it will charge you 10-14 days later because you really signed up for an either 10 or 14 day trial of the product. It also automatically subscribes you to their monthly supply of their vitamins, which I've read is around $80. Luckily, I ran into a bunch of reviews telling me this and I was able to cancel the subscription before the 14 day trial ended, but decided to keep the product for about $28. I figured that the hassle of shipping it back was not worth it and I wanted to give it a test run anyways. This leads to the next big question which is, of course, is the product a scam in its quality? Does it really increase your chance of having longer, thicker, stronger hair? Does Revita Locks really increase hair density and shine? Well I've decided to test it out and give it a shot. The prod...

OOTD | A College Finals Week

Image
I love the quote in this shirt "Rather be hibernating". It's so perfect for exam weeks. Plus, I love the low back! The all-black color scheme, I feel, is also very perfect for the stressful exam weeks during school. This semester's finals were especially stressful for me, and being just before Christmas, shopping was my stress reliever. Never forget to take breaks and relieve stress. :) I got the shirt on sale at Aeropastle from the Bethany Mota collection for $3, black jeans from Plato's Closet for $1, and shoes from Savers for $6. The necklace was made with a pendent from Michaels that was on sale for $0.75 and came with two other pendants, and just put it on a chain I found around the house. (P.S. I never noticed how long my hair was getting until I took that back picture.) Posted via Blogaway

OOTD | Summer to Fall Thrift-Shopped Outfit

Image
I absolutely love thrift shopping. It gives you a way to find unique items and for a great price! What I love even more though, is styling everything after you buy them. Summer is sadly coming to an end, and it's back to school/ fall time. My absolute favorite season for styling because of all the fun layering there is to play around with. The weather in Wisconsin has been fairly chilly in the morning and humid in the day. Cardigans are a favorite for this time! Here's a bright summer-going-to-fall outfit composed of all things found at thrift shops, except for the shorts and rings): Cardigan : Savers - $7 Tank Top : HGM Bargain Center - $3 Shorts : Forever 21 sale - $5 Belt : Yard Sale - $1 Shoes : Savers - $3 Rings : Forever 21 and H&M (On Sale, and using Wrapp for H & M rings) - $1 Note: I'm so sad that Wrapp is no longer available anymore!
