College | Around my campus and Starbucks

Image
Growing up can some times be lonely. My Monday, though not typical, consisted of studying alone at Starbucks for a couple hours for my exam I had today (Tuesday). I tried the new S'mores Frappuccino. It wasn't too bad, if you don't want coffee it's great! They also gave me a cookie straw, which I wasn't sure if it comes with the drink or if they felt bad that they messed up my sandwich order. I tried my first Starbucks sandwich as well. It was a bacon, egg, and cheddar one. The sandwich was also pretty good, but it got a little odd textured (maybe it was the cheese?). Got a satisfying meal and studying done, so all was well with the Starbucks' service as usual.  👍  Later that day after I went to InterVarsity's large group, I snapped a few shots of the campus on my lone walk home. I've realized I haven't taken that many photographs of my campus The UW of Eau Claire got a new brand a couple semesters ago. I like it because we, as humans, ar

Beauty | Essence Lip products

Image
I was watching a YouTube video about Must Have Makeup Products under $5 (I forgot which Youtuber it was) and she mentioned Essence lip liner and how it was only $1.50. From that moment, I just had to get it and try it. So Sunday I went to the Ulta at my mall and picked up two products from Essence. I picked up their lip liner in Red Blush. They only had two colors in stock and I figured you can never go too wrong with red. This color turned out very pretty. It was red but with a pink tint. The consistency of the liner glides on lips really nice, I really like it! I also decided to pick up one of their lipsticks. This one was the nudest color and I thought the "e" imprint was so elegant! This product was $2.99, so a really good price for a lipstick. I though it went on pretty well. At first I did think it looked odd, but I feel like nude always looks odd on me. The more I looked my lips and how it went with my face, I realized that this was probably the first very nude lip

Relationship | My boyfriend likes League of Legend (LoL)

Image
My boyfriend loves playing League of Legend. Well, I don't know if he actually loves it, but he is always playing it. One day I saw his Hero accounts for it and Spork (our nickname for me, his is fork) and Sia (my middle name) were two of his heroes. For some reason this made my stomach flutter with butterflies, smiling from ear to ear, and not being able to stop. Things like this are some of the little reasons why I like him. He's my keeper (:

College | On those days when it's gloomy

Image
This weekend was just spectacular outside. Very warm, with a lot of sun and a cool breeze. But you know, with living....on the earth, the weather can be so unpredictable and ever-changing. I woke up in my bed today fairly freezing. In spite of spring, I urged myself that this was a good day to dress in bright colors. It definitely was!  I am definitely a fan of the trench coat. This one is navy blue and from Banana Republic. Cheers to an extraordinary blurry photo. Recently got the middle ring from Plato's Closet. Rings are so fun to find when thrift shopping! I really think that those beige sandals are just the most comfiest shoes.  It was quite a cold walk home, but the river is always nice to look at. The sun decided to come out later though at around 7 pm. Here was the view from my apartment balcony:  And one of my university's parking lot:

College | Off - Campus living

Image
Took a little drive today and this is what I saw: Aren't college students just such a joy. Who would have ever thought to climb up the statue and hat it with a garbage can. This is what you may find near off-campus college housing and 3 streets down from the bar night life.   So, well I sat there and enjoyed the weather in this park with the garbage can-hatted statue of Adin Randall, who had given that park to the city. The sound of raindrops hitting a surface is so relaxing.  The little drops the rain droplets leave on a window are quite pleasing. Rain is a good thing. (< This is a song reference lol)

OOTD | Slightly Groggy and Wet Weather

Image
A simple outfit for a groggy, wet Sunday morning in midwest Aprils. Cardigan is from Free People and the white blouse is from BP at Nordstrom. Black jean-like leggings are Bullhead.  Necklace is from Forever 21. The only thing I don't like about it is that the two necklaces are attached. I'll probably make them into two separate necklaces soon.  I love this black floppy hat. I got it during last winter's Black Friday sales at the Mall of America.  Shoes are from JustFab. [Documenting for how my outfits might change over the years]

Shopping | An Addiction, Haul from a Ball

Image
Last weekend the Viennese Ball took place at my university's union center. It's the last year I'll be able to go as a student (and with the student discount), so of course I went! My roommate went home that weekend though for her brother's birthday, so I invited my boyfriend to go along with me. Being the kind of guy he is, he doesn't have much formal dress wear (or he can't find it and claims his brothers took it). Since I brought one of the old red dresses from my parents' house, I had to buy him a red bow tie. And what does buying a red bow tie mean? Going shopping at the mall. I went to the mall for one red bow tie. And I ended up with all this and spending way more than I had ever wished for. But, it was all worth it! I love the picks that I found. I just couldn't pass any of the good deals that day! #collegestressreliever Old Navy shoes on sale for $3, along with a belt there for only $1.  A soft fluffy jacket from Macy's

My Firsts | Dreamcatcher

Image
I believe dreams are the most wondrous things. They let you feel like you are in a different reality. My favorite dreams are the ones where the world is ending and the world is chaotic. It feels like your in a dramatic movie and really experiencing .  I've had this dreamcatcher since probably third or fourth grade, and it's still with me at college. I remember my parents buying it for me when we took a "huge" family vacation (and I say huge because we went with my dad's family and so it was 1 RV with about 20 people) to Yellowstone and we passed through Mount Rushmore where they bought it. I thought the dreamcatcher was the up most coolest thing ever; having this little Native American gadget to catch my bad dreams. Ever since, I've just loved dreamcatchers.  Here is my first dream catcher on my apartment window now.  Happy dreams welcomed. :)
