Just Life | Quick Morning Routine for Success

Image
There is so much value in having a morning ritual, and waking up an hour of two before you have to start any type of work. Remember that you can do anything, your mind is the only limitation!  To begin, 5 reasons why you should start a morning routine:  It prevents the drift effect by giving you a destination to start deliberately with a mission and purpose.  It restores your focus right in the morning to set your intentions for the day and your life. To do your best and to do the things you said you would do to improve your life.  It helps you make progress to your most important tasks to align yourself with the life you want to live.  It gives you structure to something that is typically a wasted part of the day. It allows you to hold yourself accountable to you - usually we have someone else holding us accountable.  It starts your day calm versus rushed, which sets the tone for the rest of your day.  With that being said, a quick routing to create could entail:  Perform a quick stre

My GoPro experience (2016)

(Old draft, but posting in case I want to look back on it one day - update note: my GoPro sank last year when we took our Kayak out. I was going to take a video and had it on a stand which didn't connect to the boat, and then one slip happened - it was like it was slow motion, but the lake we were in was all mossy and I didn't want to sink to save it so yeah, it was quite sad, I let it and the new stand I had just bought sink to the bottom of Rice Lake)  This summer I found out just how awesome the GoPro camera is, and it became a necessity to my must-have list. As everyone knows, GoPros are a bit pricey. So I began my search on eBay and Amazon, being the cheap woman I am. I found a GoPro Hero 3 White edition for about $185 and bargained for $180, which I thought of as a steal. Once the camera came in, I showed it to my boyfriend. He did not agree with me about it being a steal. He flat out told me that the GoPro Hero white isn't the best, I should have gotten the GoPro H

My Top 6 favorites of 2016 (something I never posted)  1. Pop Socket My younger brother got me this for Christmas, and I was immediately obsessed with it! It's perfect for holding your phone, standing your phone up when you're watching videos, and he also got us the Pop socket holder that I decided to put next to my bed and it's perfection. 2. Variety charger cord I think my sister just got this multi-device electronic cord for free from some fair, but it's perfect when you're on the go! The cords makes it easy to find in my large purse, but it's not messy since they're short cords. Also, whenever anyone needs to charge anything, you're prepared to assist them! 3. Audiobooks - Harry Potter  - You are a Baddass 4. Protein Drinks ShredX  5. Small Mead planner Picked this small planner up from Target in the summer time and it's just the perfect to-go size! This year I'm planning on starting a bullet journal, so I might have to

So you’re out of college and you don’t have that job lined up yet. Don't sweat it, a job you want is definitely obtainable as long as you put your mind to it. I graduated from college in December of 2016 and landed a job that I desired about a month after I graduated. Here are some tips to consider during that job hunt. Keep organized Keep a document of all the places you apply to with the company name, job title and description, and also where you found the position. When companies respond you can cross them out or see which ones are interested in you as a candidate. Companies will ask you how you found the position and when you’re applying to multiple a day through various ways, it’s easy to forget how exactly you came across the position. This is also good because you can look back at the document and see every place/position you applied for.        When you get calls, take lots of notes! Make goals Set small goals, like “I’ll apply to at least 10 jobs every week.” T
