Beauty Review | Lush Shampoo Bar and Massage Bar Review

Image
My latest test drive with shampoo products has been Lush’s Shampoo Bar Soak and Float . My hair and scalp has be so dry due to this Minnesota winter weather. The description for Soak and Float is  " Sort out dry, itchy scalps. Sad, irritated scalps rejoice! We've got just the thing to soothe your troubles. We pack cade oil into this one to treat dry or angry scalps, leaving them feeling calm and relaxed. Rose oil works to soothe the scalp too, and also lends its heady aroma to this bar's sweet and smoky perfume. "  Their tag line did gave me high hopes that it was going to be a dry-scalp miracle shampoo, but it wasn't. Don't get me wrong though, I still loved the product! I've never used a shampoo bar before, but rubbing the soap-looking block onto my head gives such a nice head massage and the perfect lather.  Also, I'm not sure if it was just that many people used it in my family or if I didn't keep it packaged correctly but the shampoo ba...

Beauty | 16 Items I loved in 2016

Image
It's already the beginning of February, but thought I'd post 16 of my favorites from the previous year. It's a mix of beauty and just life items: 1.  Tarte eye lash curler My absolute favorite eye lash curler to get longer looking lashes. I actually heard about it because it was mentioned by Alexis Ren. So I decided to give it a try, and it's the absolute best! 2. Kat Von D eyeliner This eyeliner is the rage right now, and I would have to agree. It's such a smooth and easy application and it stays on ALL day! I have the mini version and the full, but the mini version is the best! I usually apply my makeup after I'm at the gym at my workplace, so it's nice to have this on-the-go eye liner in my tiny makeup bag. 3.  Sheet masks I have definitely seen a change in my complexion since starting to use sheet masks on a weekly basis. Sheet masks are also just so relaxing, and it gives me an excuse to sit around and cook eggs for breakfast the next d...

Beauty | Stylenanda Haul

Image
Stylenanda advertised their free worldwide shipping on any purchase on Instagram last week and I just couldn't resist myself from buying something. I've been wanting to try their products ever since I heard about the company last year. I decided to get some of the basics:        Some sunnies, earrings, lip stain, nail polish, and brow liner. I'm already loving all of the products! The sunglasses fits asian faces very well and feel really sturdy. The lip stain goes on nicely and the color pops out immediately! It's a different sort of applicator than I'm use to, but it's really nice. The color Obsessed is the perfect shade of red for my skin tone. It's long lasting and barely smudges. I've been seeing this type of earring all over social media, so I'm excited to wear them out. I feel like they are simple and elegant, yet edgy.    The nail color is so pretty. The picture below is with only one coat on and that is all that...

Beauty | Korean products

Image
Last week I went out to the Hmong market in town and the Korean lady sucked me into buying her products. She's so sweet, but also aggressive. I ended up spending way more than I planned to but thought I would share my buy. I've been meaning to look into better skin care anyways being that I've been getting comments on my already-appearing eye wrinkles. So she sold me on basically a whole skin care routine: DeoProce Natural Perfect Solution Black Sugar & Honey Power Core DeoProce Aloe Vera Oasis Toner and Emulsion/Moisturizer Estheroce Whitening & Anti-Wrinkle Power Eye Cream So far, I am liking these products. We'll see if there are actual anti-wrinkle results. The face mask was just something extra that she gave me. I've been trying to get into a habit of a morning and night "Korean" routine that I found on some page when I Googled "Korean skin care routine". Morning Routine: Rinse face with water  Apply Toner ...

Beauty | March ULTA Haul

Image
I always get dragged into stores by their coupons. ULTA sends you 3.50 off of a $10 purchase coupon monthly and so of course I go there with intentions of just getting things I know I need and would get at Target or Walmart anyways. I purchased the Cetaphil daily facial cleanser I've been wanting to try and a peel-away clay mask. Since I've recently stopped taking birth control pills, my hormones have been reacting and I've been getting pimples all over so I thought I would focus on my face. Cetaphil daily facial cleanser. This product is very soft on the skin. I feel like it isn't doing too much for my skin though. I might just be too use to having a cleanser that is also an exfoliant so it feels like it's not doing as much as my old cleansers. I probably won't be re-purchasing this product. Freeman's Sweet Tea & Lemon Peel Away Clay Mask . I really like this product, even though the peel comes off flimsy and light so you're not really able ...

Beauty | Essence Lip products

Image
I was watching a YouTube video about Must Have Makeup Products under $5 (I forgot which Youtuber it was) and she mentioned Essence lip liner and how it was only $1.50. From that moment, I just had to get it and try it. So Sunday I went to the Ulta at my mall and picked up two products from Essence. I picked up their lip liner in Red Blush. They only had two colors in stock and I figured you can never go too wrong with red. This color turned out very pretty. It was red but with a pink tint. The consistency of the liner glides on lips really nice, I really like it! I also decided to pick up one of their lipsticks. This one was the nudest color and I thought the "e" imprint was so elegant! This product was $2.99, so a really good price for a lipstick. I though it went on pretty well. At first I did think it looked odd, but I feel like nude always looks odd on me. The more I looked my lips and how it went with my face, I realized that this was probably the first very nude lip...
