Shopping | Local Vintage Antique Shop Finds

Image
A few Antique Store finds today! I love going antique shopping. Though it can be kind of creepy and sketchy in those stores sometimes, you can find some brilliant items! My favorite local antique store near me is Antiques on Main . This morning I grabbed some coffee and headed there before going to "work" at home. Coffee at Avant Garden before antique shopping :)  A Whiting & Davis cross-body purse ($ 22.50) When I saw this I immediately knew I was going to buy it! It's chic and the perfect size that I wish all purses were. I then looked up the brand and saw the brand is actually quite an expensive one going for $150+. It was definitely a plus that it comes with a small cross-body inside it. This bag will be perfect for days and nights out!  A Dofan France handbag ($19.50)  There was another purse similar to this that also caught my attention, but the white leather lining inside totally bought me. This leather purse feels quite fine. I like ...

Just Life | A few of the Minnesota State Fair 2017 foods

Image
So, I made this elaborate plan/map of new foods that I wanted to try at the fair. Of course knowing that I won't stick to it, but it was cool looking at all of the new foods and beverages. Below is the map I made during my extra time on Saturday: (Yup... I used Paint hahaha) It actually was really useful in navigating where to go next to try something new! By the end of the day though, we were all just too full to enjoy food or drinks anymore. We only got to a few foods on the list: Duke of Cuke:   Yay , I really liked this beer! I thought it was quite sweet. We originally went to Lulu's (a place I swear I've never seen at the fair before haha) to get the Adult Red Bull Slushie but by the time we got there they said that they were remaking the slushies and it would be about an hour or two before it would be frozen again. So we skipped the slushies, but I'm glad I got this beer in place of it. Ordinary Mary: Aight , I love bloody's so I'm a bit picky. T...

OOTD | Midwest Chill

Image
Just a simple outfit for fall: Neutral top from Forever 21 with black jeggings from Bullhead, and I put my hair in a side-braid because I rarely ever do anything with my hair.  Too keep warm in the chilly midwest weather, I'm wearing this bright orange vest. The vest is Gap but honestly I got it from Goodwill  ✌ Gold rings Just one simple bracelet.  Stone layered necklace from Forever 21. Just wore my black combat boots too.

College | On those days when it's gloomy

This weekend was just spectacular outside. Very warm, with a lot of sun and a cool breeze. But you know, with living....on the earth, the weather can be so unpredictable and ever-changing. I woke up in my bed today fairly freezing. In spite of spring, I urged myself that this was a good day to dress in bright colors. It definitely was!  I am definitely a fan of the trench coat. This one is navy blue and from Banana Republic. Cheers to an extraordinary blurry photo. Recently got the middle ring from Plato's Closet. Rings are so fun to find when thrift shopping! I really think that those beige sandals are just the most comfiest shoes.  It was quite a cold walk home, but the river is always nice to look at. The sun decided to come out later though at around 7 pm. Here was the view from my apartment balcony:  And one of my university's parking lot:
