Shopping | An Addiction, Haul from a Ball

Last weekend the Viennese Ball took place at my university's union center. It's the last year I'll be able to go as a student (and with the student discount), so of course I went! My roommate went home that weekend though for her brother's birthday, so I invited my boyfriend to go along with me. Being the kind of guy he is, he doesn't have much formal dress wear (or he can't find it and claims his brothers took it). Since I brought one of the old red dresses from my parents' house, I had to buy him a red bow tie. And what does buying a red bow tie mean? Going shopping at the mall.

I went to the mall for one red bow tie.

And I ended up with all this and spending way more than I had ever wished for.

But, it was all worth it! I love the picks that I found. I just couldn't pass any of the good deals that day! #collegestressreliever

Old Navy shoes on sale for $3, along with a belt there for only $1. 
A soft fluffy jacket from Macy's that apparently comes with a little bag to put it in, which I bought with the bow tie.
 I love the Earthbound store at the mall, they have such cute things and always have sales. From there I bought this sheer fringed cardigan and silver necklace that reminds me of Hmong necklaces! 
I got a cute camel hat from JC Penny's because it was on sale for $6. 
I also got some new under garments from Victoria's Secret because I had some of those coupons that they always send out for free panties and an angel rewards for $15 off their Fabulous Bra, which is just my most favorite bra now. It's literally the softest, most comfortable bra. 


 Later that day, my girl friend that I was going to the ball with needed to look for a dress. So I ended up going back to the mall and, yup, you guessed it. Bought even more things and spent even more money! I am officially an addict (at least until I see my bank account go way down). I ended up just looking in PacSun and getting a few things there since they were having their winter sale of buy one get three free! I got the four clothing items below for that sale and then picked up a cute simple necklace and a little present for one of my friends.

This year was not what anyone expected with the pandemic happening, but it has allowed us to spend a lot of time at home which gives us extra time to do things we wouldn't normally do.  Earlier this year I tried the "no-shampoo" method. At first it was great, but then after 2 weeks, my head was going insane! I eventually came across this 14 Day Hair Challenge by Sarah Tran. I don't remember exactly which platform I saw it on, probably Instagram, but immediately I thought I should try it. Her hair was beautifully long, and she's Asian! It also helped me decide, since the last shampoo/conditioner I had bought were both more expensive than the challenge, and it was advertised that you'd be making a shampoo at-home, which I've always wanted to try. Review | Online shops - Zaful and Goodmanity

Those online store ads on Facebook and Instagram actually got me! Below is my quick review on a couple of my recent online store purchases from Zaful and Goodmanity. Zaful  The handful of items purchased. This shirt seems like pretty alright quality. The label also states that it's sweatshop free, which is awesome. ($14.25) This sweater is quite cute! The color and fit are both very nice. The packaging was also sleek in the Zaful ziplock bag. ($16.99). I'm not one to spend much on clothes, so $16.99 was kind of expensive to me, but this sweater is unique and worth it. You definitely get what you paid for. When I put on the first necklace (gold without the bead - $2.56), one of the metal circles was too loose and it fell apart. Although it was an easy fix with putting the metal back into the circle, it's definitely not something that should be necessary to do when you buy an item. Materials of 2018 | May

Summer months fly by too quick! Now that I'm looking back at April, I did NOT do good at all for May. Definitely spent too much on materials...and accumulated too many items. Update on April items (Note this is written in July) Meat raffle haul:  I have used the stick ons for cards.  I sometimes remember to take B12.  I am currently still using the pop socket.  I've been still using the top coat when I paint my nails.  Goodwill haul:  The purple dress' strap broke in our dryer! So I just superglued it as a quick resolution...  I love the T-shirt dress and actually just wore it today for church lol I have yet to use the picnic basket or try the weaving stuff.  I've worn the leather jacket a couple times (I actually totally forgot I even got it, but hey, it's summer)  The bag I've worn a couple time.  I have yet to wear the hawaiian shirt or the black shirt.
