Here's how I enjoy making my overnight oats!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Rolled oats
1 small container of Yogurt
1/2 cup of Almond milk
Pinches of Ground cinnamon
Directions:
1. For overnight oats, you will need rolled oats. Fill up your container with about 1/2 cup of rolled oats. I'm using a mason jar that has helpful measurement marks on the side of the container.
2. For liquid, I am using unsweetened almond milk, but you can also use normal milk, sweetened almond milk, or even water. I fill it up to measure out about the same amount as the rolled oats (1/2 cup).
3. After the milk and oats are in, I mix in an entire small container of yogurt. The one I use here is just some generic branded vanilla yogurt. Any flavor really tastes great in overnight oats though. I especially enjoy flavors like pumpkin pie, Boston cream pie, and vanilla over the fruit-based yogurts though.
4. After all the yogurt is put inside the container, I like to add in ground cinnamon. I love the taste and flavor cinnamon adds, so I add quite a bit. Put in as much or as little as you prefer.
5. After you add in the cinnamon, you are pretty much good to go! Just mix all the ingredients well...
..Put a cap on the container...
..And stick your container into the refrigerator to sit over night, or even two nights!
The next morning your Overnight oats are good to eat! I like to add in more cinnamon, and maybe also a banana to make it more fulfilling. This was definitely a meal saver during college when I knew I would have to rush and run out the doors in the morning.
Enjoy your oats!
