Shopping | Local Vintage Antique Shop Finds

A few Antique Store finds today! I love going antique shopping. Though it can be kind of creepy and sketchy in those stores sometimes, you can find some brilliant items! My favorite local antique store near me is Antiques on Main. This morning I grabbed some coffee and headed there before going to "work" at home.

A Whiting & Davis cross-body purse ($22.50)When I saw this I immediately knew I was going to buy it! It's chic and the perfect size that I wish all purses were. I then looked up the brand and saw the brand is actually quite an expensive one going for $150+. It was definitely a plus that it comes with a small cross-body inside it. This bag will be perfect for days and nights out! 



A Dofan France handbag ($19.50) There was another purse similar to this that also caught my attention, but the white leather lining inside totally bought me. This leather purse feels quite fine. I like the size and shape of it as well. In my eyes, it seems pretty unique. I usually stick with cross-body purses because I lose everything but this purse will be a nice different feel! 



A Ronda Ukulele ($57.00) I just couldn't resist buying this ukulele. My first ukulele that I bought back in college was a small, cheap one from Amazon that broke a couple years ago. I now only have a cheap(er) Hello Kitty plastic one that I'm thinking about giving to my baby cousin who loves music. With all these excuses in mind to buy it, I decided to just get it! It did cause me to have to use my credit card instead of just cash, which caused a hassle because there machine ended up not working due to having no internet at the moment. It worked out at the end though. I couldn't find the brand to see any type of original pricing online but, to me, it was worth it anyways. It also came with the case.



A Silver Rose bracelet ($3.00) I've never seen a bracelet like this before. The details are perfect and the way it opens/closes is unique. If anyone knows other places that have bracelets like this, I would be interested to know. I also don't usually find bracelets that fit my tiny wrists and hands, so this was an awesome find! 

It's such a good feeling when you get good finds at an antique store. It definitely makes you feel like your day's luck is great! Maybe I should go buy a Powerball ðŸ˜‚😂😂

This year was not what anyone expected with the pandemic happening, but it has allowed us to spend a lot of time at home which gives us extra time to do things we wouldn't normally do.  Earlier this year I tried the "no-shampoo" method. At first it was great, but then after 2 weeks, my head was going insane! I eventually came across this 14 Day Hair Challenge by Sarah Tran. I don't remember exactly which platform I saw it on, probably Instagram, but immediately I thought I should try it. Her hair was beautifully long, and she's Asian! It also helped me decide, since the last shampoo/conditioner I had bought were both more expensive than the challenge, and it was advertised that you'd be making a shampoo at-home, which I've always wanted to try. Review | Online shops - Zaful and Goodmanity

Those online store ads on Facebook and Instagram actually got me! Below is my quick review on a couple of my recent online store purchases from Zaful and Goodmanity. Zaful  The handful of items purchased. This shirt seems like pretty alright quality. The label also states that it's sweatshop free, which is awesome. ($14.25) This sweater is quite cute! The color and fit are both very nice. The packaging was also sleek in the Zaful ziplock bag. ($16.99). I'm not one to spend much on clothes, so $16.99 was kind of expensive to me, but this sweater is unique and worth it. You definitely get what you paid for. When I put on the first necklace (gold without the bead - $2.56), one of the metal circles was too loose and it fell apart. Although it was an easy fix with putting the metal back into the circle, it's definitely not something that should be necessary to do when you buy an item. Materials of 2018 | May

Summer months fly by too quick! Now that I'm looking back at April, I did NOT do good at all for May. Definitely spent too much on materials...and accumulated too many items. Update on April items (Note this is written in July) Meat raffle haul:  I have used the stick ons for cards.  I sometimes remember to take B12.  I am currently still using the pop socket.  I've been still using the top coat when I paint my nails.  Goodwill haul:  The purple dress' strap broke in our dryer! So I just superglued it as a quick resolution...  I love the T-shirt dress and actually just wore it today for church lol I have yet to use the picnic basket or try the weaving stuff.  I've worn the leather jacket a couple times (I actually totally forgot I even got it, but hey, it's summer)  The bag I've worn a couple time.  I have yet to wear the hawaiian shirt or the black shirt.
