Shopping | A little Christmas self-buy haul

I'm not sure if this happens to everyone (tell me if I'm the only one), but while buying gifts for others during Christmas I seem to manage to buy myself quite a few things as well. I feel like it's such a bad habit! But, I guess, after spending money on others (and seeing deals!), I feel a bit more justified in buying things for myself as well. Any who, I'm just sharing a few things I picked up for myself this year during my X-mas shopping ventures from Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21, and Target.

 Note: I did buy actual Christmas presents for other people at each store too 😂

The below are mix and matched outfits from my buys at Nordstrom Rack, Forever 21, and Target. 
I actually wore the above outfit for Christmas Eve. 
I super like this dress/shirt from Nordstrom Rack. I feel like it gives 70s vibes. Also these pants from Target are the perfect burnt orange color. I somewhat "styled" it with a few other shirts below.




The above is the outfit I wore for New Years alone with some tights and a necklace I had picked up during Black Friday (I don't think I got a full body outfit from that date, oh well haha). Below are a few other shirts I again somewhat "styled" the skirt with. 



Forever 21 had the best deal this day with Buy one, Get one free on their clearance item. Though it is clearance and probably "out of style", I think all of the items were really cute and such a steal! 
I've been wearing these black booties non-stop (and now they're pretty worn out since it's winter in Minnesota). It probably was not the best idea to start wearing these in Minnesota's winter since they're suede but either way they were cheap.

I just couldn't pass up this shirt or these shorts. The shirt just feels so empowering for women, and the shorts were so comfy (and olive green!). 
I've always wanted some #MyCalvins and wanted some nice sleek gloves, so I decided to pick these up. 

In all I spent about $82 at Nordstrom Rack for seven items (about $11 each), $23 at Forever 21 for eight items (about $3 each), and $37 at Target for five items (about $7 each). I would say that's a deal! But I really do need to stop spending so much money (New Years Resolution? Probably should be). 😂

This year was not what anyone expected with the pandemic happening, but it has allowed us to spend a lot of time at home which gives us extra time to do things we wouldn't normally do.  Earlier this year I tried the "no-shampoo" method. At first it was great, but then after 2 weeks, my head was going insane! I eventually came across this 14 Day Hair Challenge by Sarah Tran. I don't remember exactly which platform I saw it on, probably Instagram, but immediately I thought I should try it. Her hair was beautifully long, and she's Asian! It also helped me decide, since the last shampoo/conditioner I had bought were both more expensive than the challenge, and it was advertised that you'd be making a shampoo at-home, which I've always wanted to try. Review | Online shops - Zaful and Goodmanity

Those online store ads on Facebook and Instagram actually got me! Below is my quick review on a couple of my recent online store purchases from Zaful and Goodmanity. Zaful  The handful of items purchased. This shirt seems like pretty alright quality. The label also states that it's sweatshop free, which is awesome. ($14.25) This sweater is quite cute! The color and fit are both very nice. The packaging was also sleek in the Zaful ziplock bag. ($16.99). I'm not one to spend much on clothes, so $16.99 was kind of expensive to me, but this sweater is unique and worth it. You definitely get what you paid for. When I put on the first necklace (gold without the bead - $2.56), one of the metal circles was too loose and it fell apart. Although it was an easy fix with putting the metal back into the circle, it's definitely not something that should be necessary to do when you buy an item. Materials of 2018 | May

Summer months fly by too quick! Now that I'm looking back at April, I did NOT do good at all for May. Definitely spent too much on materials...and accumulated too many items. Update on April items (Note this is written in July) Meat raffle haul:  I have used the stick ons for cards.  I sometimes remember to take B12.  I am currently still using the pop socket.  I've been still using the top coat when I paint my nails.  Goodwill haul:  The purple dress' strap broke in our dryer! So I just superglued it as a quick resolution...  I love the T-shirt dress and actually just wore it today for church lol I have yet to use the picnic basket or try the weaving stuff.  I've worn the leather jacket a couple times (I actually totally forgot I even got it, but hey, it's summer)  The bag I've worn a couple time.  I have yet to wear the hawaiian shirt or the black shirt.
