My Firsts | Pair of TOMS

My older sister got me a gift card to Journey's for Christmas, and so I finally got a pair of TOMS. I love their mission of one for one, helping a person in need with giving them a new pair of shoes with every pairs of TOMS purchased. They also give in many more ways, check it out here: http://www.toms.com/what-we-give. The cause is good and the style is also. I got these simple black Cordones canvas pair. They are so comfy and cute, and they match just about everything. Probably not the best for winter in Minnesota though, I'm excited to wear them more when spring and summer come along!

This year was not what anyone expected with the pandemic happening, but it has allowed us to spend a lot of time at home which gives us extra time to do things we wouldn't normally do.  Earlier this year I tried the "no-shampoo" method. At first it was great, but then after 2 weeks, my head was going insane! I eventually came across this 14 Day Hair Challenge by Sarah Tran. I don't remember exactly which platform I saw it on, probably Instagram, but immediately I thought I should try it. Her hair was beautifully long, and she's Asian! It also helped me decide, since the last shampoo/conditioner I had bought were both more expensive than the challenge, and it was advertised that you'd be making a shampoo at-home, which I've always wanted to try. Just life | Where I'm at right now in 2020

We're already two thirds of the way done with the year. I'll be honest and say that I was expecting much more from 2020. My mindset was so positive at the beginning of the year, but then the pandemic happened, and life happened, and now I just don't know where my mind is at.  It wants to be happy, but I feel like there's something holding it back. I strive for a life of abundance and fulfillment, but I'm still not sure what that means for me. It's almost been 5 years since I've graduated college, and I'm still as lost as ever. I've heard that adulting goes something like this, is that true? Am I just  feeling what most other adults feel? Book Review | The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

The  Life - Changing Magic of Tidying Up   by Marie Kondo was an amazing book, and also a quick read. It really inspires you to strive to tidy up your space in order to tidy up your life. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a change in their life! I have outlined the things that I took away from this book, and want to remember in order to incorporate it in my own life.  "Let your space bring you happiness! Reset your life with a new lifestyle."  This book has inspired me to make it one of my new year resolutions to tidy up, and in return hopefully find some guidance in my life. The book explains that you need to have a specified goal; I want to live minimalistic and know where all my things are placed in my space. With this goal, you also have to change your lifestyle.
